Centre Philosophy

It is our Centre’s Philosophy to provide a program which offers a happy, secure, enjoyable learning environment for each child enrolled and attending our service.

The program aims to instill positive attitudes to learning in preparation for further learning and life skills.

The program is based on the individual needs and interests of each child and at their appropriate developmental level.

Each child and family is accepted and respected regardless of ability, gender, race, language and culture.

It is our belief that children learn through play, they are encouraged to interact with the environment first hand and therefore develop knowledge, problem solving skills, creativity and establishing relationships with their peers, adults and the community.

Our program is based around the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Framework, aiming to achieve the five learning outcomes.

Our program incorporates:

  • Intentional Teaching – important values and knowledge are transferred to the children
  • Emergent Teaching – each child is observed and the program evolves accordingly to their current interests, needs and skills
  • Partnership with Parents – they are encouraged and welcomed to participate in the program
