Overview
Centre Philosophy
Albion Kindergarten acknowledges and respects the land of the Wurundjeri people who are a part of the Kulin nation on whose land we are privileged to be situated on. We pay tribute to the elders past and present.
At Albion Kindergarten, we offer a program to children and families which presents them with the opportunity to grow into successful, competent and capable learners with inquiring minds for knowledge. We acknowledge that children are unique and develop interests and strengths at their own pace.
We are committed to the rights of all children to feel safe and be safe including; promoting the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and the safety of children with additional needs.
Our program is guided by the Victorian Early Years Frameworks and supports the philosophy of Belonging, Being and Becoming. Children are encouraged to explore, problem solve, communicate, think, create and construct through play based learning experiences.
We welcome and respect parent and family interactions and remember that they are the children’s first and most influential educators. We respect that families come from a diverse range of culture, values and beliefs.
